About Mossman Gorge Centre
The Mossman Gorge Centre
The Mossman Gorge Centre is a new Indigenous eco tourism development that will better serve visitors to the Mossman Gorge World Heritage site. Mossman Gorge will provide one of Australia’s most iconic Aboriginal experiences in Tropical North Queensland and is the perfect option for visitors looking for a genuine, authentic engagement with Indigenous Australia.
At the Mossman Gorge Centre you will find an array of services to help you organise your adventure through the Gorge. Staff at the Visitor Information desk will assist you in planning your route around the Gorge, as well as book onto your Dreamtime Walk.
Plan your route over a coffee at the café or peruse the art gallery, a pleasure that might have more relevance after hearing about the Dreamtime stories from the Kuku Yalanji people.
Mossman Gorge Centre Opening Hours:

Indigenous Art gallery [The Centre - Gallery]
The art gallery and shop showcase the art and crafts of the local Kuku Yalanji artists. The gallery liaises with local artists to ensure authentic work of the highest quality is on display. This work develops and explores traditional and contemporary media and themes. Our artists and designers bring their knowledge of local traditional lore and culture to realise vibrant new designs in paint, prints, fabrics, wood and paper.
The gallery also stocks a range of gifts including jewellery, cards, small artefacts and clothing, designed by Indigenous artists.
Retail [The Centre - Retail]
The gift shop at the Mossman Gorge Centre caters for all budgets so that every visitor can leave with a special keepsake. There is also a range of gifts designed and produced by the local Indigenous community. From postcards to art work, the gift shop at the Centre is a great place to start or finish your trip.
