DAINTREE MAGIC Holiday House is just south of Cape Tribulation and right above Cow Bay Beach. Opportunities abound for experiencing the natural wonders of these two magnificent National Parks. Take a walk to the beach to taste the beautiful blend of Reef and Rainforest, spot a Cassowary on the way, or simply chill out on the veranda surrounded by breathtaking views and ancient species of the rainforest.

If you desire, indulge yourself in the local Cafe's and Restaurants, experience the tours and adventures offered or take a cool dip in a nearby swimming hole.

This magical DAINTREE ACCOMMODATION is a luxury timber cottage, elevated to maximise the prevailing sea breeze and sweeping views. An open living plan, with adjoining dining, kitchen and veranda provides the ultimate atmosphere for entertainment and comfort.

The three main bedrooms include a king, queen and two single beds, with two additional single mattresses to go on the dining room floor for extra kids. So the house sleeps a maximum of 8.

Soak in a bubble bath on the front veranda and take in the sights and sounds of the rainforest while gazing at the ocean views. Fire up the Weber BBQ with a giant pizza stone, and enjoy an outdoor meal, then as the evening cools warm yourself by the glow of the fire and listen to the sound of the rolling waves. DAINTREE ACCOMMODATION

DAINTREE MAGIC HOLIDAY HOUSE has a fully equipped kitchen, with full size fridge and freezer and gas top oven. The weber BBQ on the back veranda has a lid for roasts or a pizza stone for pizzas. The kitchen opens out on the inside to join up with the dining room and opens up on the outside to join up to the front veranda. This open living plan gives all the rooms stunning ocean views and beautiful sea breezes as well as providing the ultimate atmosphere for entertainment. Due to the solar power we do not allow toasters, but you can toast under the gas grill. We also do not allow hair dryers or hair straighteners, thank you for your understanding.

There are three bedrooms, one with a King bed, one with a Queen bed and one with two Single beds. We also have two additional single mattreses which can go on the dining room floor for extra kids, so we sleep a total of 8. The front main bedroom opens up to the living room and onto the front veranda, so you can lie in bed and gaze at the ocean views or at night enjoy the warm glow of the indoor fire. The second bedroom also has ocean views from the windows and is opposite the third bedroom which has two single beds.

The lounge room has satalite TV, DVD player, satalite internet and beanbags. The internet is very limited and is only allowed for urgent emails, no downloading photos or music please, thank you for your understanding. In the dining room there is a cabinet with a good range of games, books, and some toys. We also supply a few stinger suits, masks and snorkels for guests use.

The rear veranda backs onto the lush Daintree Rainforest with a large gas weber BBQ, and a small laundry with hand washing facilities and drying racks (there is no washing machine due to the solar power, but there is a laundromat up the road) . The bathroom adjoins the rear veranda and boasts some of the rainforest's most beautiful timbers. The front veranda is where you will probably spend most of your time. In addition to the outdoor 8 seater dining table, the veranda has a hammock and a corner bath. Both perfect in this DAINTREE ACCOMMODATION to lay back in and sip on a glass of Champagne while enjoying the spectacular views and serenity.

Daintree Magic Holiday House is unique in the fact that it is completely self sufficient, this DAINTREE ACCOMMODATION runs totally on solar power and rain water. So as well as having a relaxing holiday you are helping out our environment. The house has ceiling fans and is fully screened (apart from the bi fold windows and doors) to keep the insects out. We provide bedside torches, candles for night time and mosquito coils for outside.

How to get to DAINTREE MAGIC HOLIDAY HOUSE

MAGIC DAINTREE ACCOMMODATION is located south of Cape Tribulation, at Cow Bay Beach. Just one hour north of Port Douglas or two hours north of Cairns. Drive north along the Captain Cook Highway, passing through the township of Mossman.

The Mossman Gorge is a great spot for a swim to break up the drive (allow at least 2 hrs for this stop). Head north until you see the signpost for Daintree Ferry, turn right and cross the Daintree River Ferry, keeping your eyes peeled for Crocodiles and Bird life. Continue your drive north, and climb the Alexandra Range to the top where you can stop at the Alexandra Lookout for a magnificent view over the Daintree River Mouth and Snapper Island.

Only about 15 minutes to go now, so head down the other side of the range, taking your time to enjoy the rainforest and little waterfalls along the way. Just after you pass the Cow Bay Pub, turn right down Buchanan Creek Rd towards Cow Bay Beach. Follow this road almost to the end, approximately 3.5 kms, and turn right up Penda Close, which is only 50 metres from the beach car park.

Drive slowly up Penda Close, as local Cassowaries and their chicks are often sighted along this road. Drive to the end and DAINTREE MAGIC is the last driveway on the right and clearly marked with a sign.

• Cancellations more than 30 days prior to arrival will be refunded 50%.
