About Sea Kayaking Tours For Cairns

A fantastic way to fulfil your sense of adventure and have fun in the ocean is a sea kayaking experience.

It's a great way to get fit and explore areas you cannot access by foot.  Sea Kayaking can be done year round and is an excellent way to escape the crowds.

Fitzroy Island has some perfect coral gardens on little Fitzroy which is a part of the itinerary for the Sea Kayaking daytrip.  Sea Kayaking is possible from Fitzroy Island but does need to be pre-booked with ferry transfers from Cairns.

Double Island is also a very pretty island and is accessed by Sea Kayak from Palm Cove.

From Cape Tribulation it is possible to do an overnight Sea Kayaking experience and camp on Snapper Island.

From Mission Beach there is also a Sea Kayaking tour around the family islands group.

Sea Kayaking is also available from all island resorts in North Queensland and is generally included in the cost if you are a house guest.

Expect to see turtles, dolphins, flying fish, sea birds and occasionally dugong's and whales in whale season.

Sea Kayaking is weather dependent and is sometimes cancelled due to wind during the windier months around August.  .

Remember to wear your sun shirts, hats and snorkelling gear and to bring your sunscreen.
