About Mamu Rainforest Canopy Walkway
Experience pristine wet tropics rainforest on this exciting elevated walkway in spectacular gorge country, 90 minutes south of Cairns; half way between Innisfail and Millaa Millaa, on the scenic Palmerston Highway. Climb the observation tower and brave the cantilever for sweeping mountain and gorge views, then wander along the elevated walkway through the rainforest canopy. This is the homeland of the Mamu Aboriginal people, who welcome you to enjoy this special part of the wet tropics.
The Mamu Rainforest Canopy Walkway is located on the Palmerston Highway, half way between Innisfail and Milla Millaa in Wooroonooran National Park. From the coast, turn off the Bruce Highway 5 km north of Innisfail onto the Palmerston Highway,and drive 27 km to the canopy walkway. From the tablelands, drive to Millaa Millaa and continue down the Palmerston Highway for 27 km to the canopy walkway.
